MGRC Memorial Garden

The Master Gardeners of Roane County Memorial Garden was created in 2022. It is a place of remembrance, honor, and gratitude created to recognize the members whose dedication and service have helped our organization and our community grow “One plant at a Time”.

This garden honors those who have passed on, those who have become Emeritus members, and those whose active involvement has come to an end. Each has played a special part in the history and legacy of the Master Gardeners of Roane County.

A garden is a beautiful reminder of the seasons of life. Some plants remain for many years, while others bloom for a shorter season. Yet, each contributes something special to the garden. In much the same, every Master Gardener who has shared their time, knowledge, enthusiasm, and friendship has helped shape the organization we are today.

The garden is a place to remember those we have lost, honor those who have stepped away from active service, and celebrate everyone who has contributed to the Master Gardeners of Roane County.

May it be a place of reflection, gratitude, friendship, and peace—a place where we can remember the people who helped us grow and recognize that, even when circumstances change and seasons of service come to an end, the seeds they planted continue to grow.

Once a Master Gardener, always a part of our garden. Their roots remain, their contributions endure, and their legacy continues to grow.
