Through the Habitat Urban Garden (HUG) initiative, the Master Gardeners of Roane County support the landscaping of new homes designed and built by the Clinch River Habitat for Humanity program that services Roane and Anderson counties. Master Gardeners assist in two main components of HUG: educating homeowners on landscape maintenance and assistance in installing a manageable landscape.
The Master Gardens of Roane County are proud to provide HUG services to one to three homes a year on average as they become ready for landscaping.
