The Master Gardeners of Roane County (MGRC) are committed to picking up litter on a bi-annual basis on Highway 70 near the Roane County Park. Each spring and fall members gather to collect trash that has accumulated along the roadside, covering approximately ½ mile in each direction from the Park, on both sides of the Highway. Through the Adopt-a-Highway Program, the MGRC seeks to promote community stewardship of a healthy and safe environment for county residents.
